Students have just completed a project using rubber stamps they carved. They have set the bar high for this semester! Next we will be making a sculpture project using Zentangles and incorporating man-made elements.

Students are creating in three dimensions, using paper and 3-D art skills. Repetition, focal point, and interesting use of negative space are being stressed and new techniques for construction are being explored.
Many of you will be welcoming family and friends in for the holidays so we will be sending home artwork soon so the students can show off all their hard work! The before and after portraits assignments were amazing. We are going to make some adjustments to them next week. The Willard District office will have artwork on display from all of the art classes at the Middle School beginning Dec. 7. I will be sending an invitation home for parents to view their child's artwork in a public setting. Very exciting!! The faculty and staff enjoy seeing all our work very much.
Students in Art I have completed the most amazing masks with great success. They are anxiously awaiting their exit from the kiln in a few weeks. In the meantime, they completed their Star Books, painted using a monoprint method, and they are currently working on a graphic design project entitled " Exploding Heads"!
Students are making Star Books. Each page is a different art project. Stay tuned!
